Charles Michael LaPorta III's Obituary
In loving memory of Charles Michael LaPorta III, age 56, who passed away unexpectedly on the morning of September 15, 2009 at Mercy Hospital. Charlie was born on May 18, 1953 in Muskegon, to the late Charlie LaPorta and Donna (Johnson) LaPorta. He graduated from Muskegon Catholic High School 1971 and received his bachelor’s degree from Ferris State College. He was the former owner of Vaughn’s Family Video in Fruitport and Hudsonville. He was a former member of the Polish Falcons. Charlie loved shooting pool and watching boxing. He is survived by his daughter, Maria C. LaPorta of Fruitport; his mother, Donna LaPorta of Muskegon Hts.; 2 sisters, Marta (Bob) Bosch and Dawn Whitlow both of Muskegon; also 6 nieces. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with Rev. Joe Galy officiating. Friends may meet with the family beginning 1 hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions to the family will be greatly appreciated.
