Charles P. Sutton's Obituary
Mr. Charles P. Sutton, age 79, of West Olive passed away Friday, January 20, 2012 at his home. He was born May 9, 1932 in Wayne County, MI to Lester and Mabel (Penny) Sutton.
Charles was a member of United Lutheran Church in West Olive and Evergreen Commons. He enjoyed antique John Deere tractors, snowmobiling, 4 wheeling with the kids, and spending time camping.
On October 30, 1951 he married the former Vera Buckner and she survives him along with 5 children: Charlene Giuchici of Skanee, MI, Ken Sutton of West Olive, Debra Veldheer of West Olive, Rich Sutton of Holland, and Susan (Kevin) Sutton-Mazzacco, of Auberry, CA; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 siblings, Joan Sutton and Harold Sutton. He was preceded in death by 4 sisters; 3 brothers; and son-in-law Charles Veldheer.
A memorial service for Charles will take place 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at United Lutheran Church in West Olive with Rev. Earl Merz officiating. Visitation with his family will be 6-8 PM Monday at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven.
