Charles R. Cooper's Obituary
Mr. Charles R. Cooper, age 90, died Wednesday evening, April 21, 2004, in Muskegon. He was born March 28, 1914 in Fremont to James & Hattie (Pickle) Cooper and moved from there to Muskegon Heights, where he resided until his retirement in 1972, when he moved to Brooks Lake. He had been employed 38 years in the casting department of C.W.C. Foundry and was a member of Local #539. On April 10, 1937 he married the former Dorothy M. Cutler and she preceded him in death on August 1, 1985. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lesa; 2 brothers; 1 sister and son-in-law, Pete Rinehart. SURVIVORS include 3 daughters, Nancy Rinehart, Kathleen (Robert) Langlois and Helen (Bruce) Dodge, all of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 1 nephew, Donald Cooper of Grant, MI. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Saturday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Avenue,Muskegon, Michigan, with Mr. David Tabler, officiating. GRAVESIDE SERVICES will be 2:30PM Saturday at Newaygo Cemetery. VISITATION: 7-9PM this evening (Friday).
