Charles Stephen Hornik's Obituary
Mr. Charles Stephen Hornik, age 89, passed away Monday, May 29, 2006 in Muskegon. He was born December 16, 1916 in Muskegon Heights, MI to Jerolin and Anna (Bajcar) Hornik and lived most of his life in the area. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII with the Second Battalion, 415th Infantry Division. On February 15, 1941, he married the former Dorothy M. Ackerman and she preceded him in death on November 17, 1989. Mr. Hornik worked 35 years at Campbell, Wyant, and Cannon and retired in 1975. He was a life member of VFW #8846. SURVIVORS include his daughter, Sandra L. Hornik of Muskegon; and his sister, Rose Matthews of Norton Shores. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Joe, John, Steven and Jerry Hornik. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held 2:00 PM Friday, June 2, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in White Cloud with Military Honors provided by the VFW of Newaygo County.
