Michael Galvin
I know two things about Charlie. First, very time I met him, he made me feel lighter and happier. Second, to watch him flip pancakes at boy scout outings was to witness unbridled joy and true artistry. I will miss him.
Birth date: Apr 6, 1949 Death date: Nov 15, 2025
Charlie Fritz, the best man who ever lived, died very suddenly Saturday afternoon at home during halftime of the Michigan football game. He exuberantly loved his family and friends, University of Michigan football, golf, and Lake Read Obituary
I know two things about Charlie. First, very time I met him, he made me feel lighter and happier. Second, to watch him flip pancakes at boy scout outings was to witness unbridled joy and true artistry. I will miss him.

Charlie was my second cousin on my mother's (Catherine Feurstein Moran) side. I remember Charlie and his sibs and parents visiting us at our home in Ann Arbor, Michigan while I was in grade school. So many years ago in the 60s. Charlie and his brother PJ played a rough and tumble game in our backyard. We wish to express our condolences to wife Mary and their children, families and relatives. Love from Gayle Moran Braithwaite, Dennis Braithwaite and our daughter Sasha Moran Braithwaite in Oregon.
Uncle Charlie was cherished by my family. I had the good fortune of a lifetime of holiday and family gatherings with him, but most of all experiencing he and Aunt Mary open up their house and hearts to my wife and I for summer Camp Fritz visits, and then seeing Charlie engage, celebrate, entertain, & love my children has been profoundly endearing beyond what mere words can express.
He leaves a legacy of love and goodness and an example for us to follow. Charlie, we love and miss you.
