Charlotte A. Remwolt's Obituary
Mrs. Charlotte A. Remwolt, age 83, passed away early Friday, October 11, 2013. She was born February 18, 1930 in Muskegon to Stephen and Elsie (Gould) Porter. Charlotte married Henry H. Remwolt in Huntington, IN on April 11, 1948. Henry passed away on May 25, 2013. She was employed as a realtor for Greenridge Realtors. Char was past President of the Muskegon County Board of Realtors and was chosen Realtor of the year in 1991 and also voted Realtor of the year by the Michigan Association of Realtors in 1992. She was formerly chairperson for the American Cancer Society golf tournaments and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Make-A-Wish Foundation. She was a life member and secretary of the Grand Rapids Kennel Club. Prior to her career in real estate, she was the District Manager for Avon. She was a very accomplished artist and taught painting to many students at her studio, “A is for Apple”. She is SURVIVED by her daughter, Gretchen Fields; 4 grandchildren, Geoff Rossman, Rachel Fields, Sarah (Justin) Sternburgh and Megan Remwolt; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Henry Robert Remwolt and his wife, Dolly; 2 daughters, Heidi Rossman and Lisa Remwolt; 2 sisters, Annabelle Swanson and Hazel Miller. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2013 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100. Friends may meet with the family beginning on hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest in Norton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan.
