Mrs. Charlotte A. "Char" Gauthier's Obituary
Mrs. Charlotte A. “Char” Gauthier, 84, passed away early Tuesday, June 18, 2013. She was born February 6, 1929 in Manistee, MI to Clayton and Clara (Battige) Field, and married Lawrence W. Gauthier on Nov. 12, 1955. Mr. Gauthier died November 26, 2011. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church of Nunica, and taught for 33 years in the Muskegon Heights Public Schools, retiring in 1985. SURVIVORS include her children: Laura (Rob) Carpenter, Marcia (Terry) Reiss, and Thomas Gauthier; three grandchildren: Steven Carpenter, Ryan Carpenter and Kimberly Gauthier; a sister Marilyn Field; brother-in-law Dale (Carol) Gauthier; and sisters-in-law Louise Christensen, Alice Kennedy, Janice Gauthier, and Martha Field. Mrs. Gauthier was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter-in-law Lori Gauthier on October 15, 2011; sisters Marcia Mathews and Donna Guerne; and brother Marvin Field. She will be remembered for liking golf and gardening, and for loving her grandchildren. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held for Mrs. Gauthier 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 21, 2013 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 11261 South St. in Nunica with Pastor William Lahrman officiating. VISITATION will be at the church from 10 to 11 A.M. Friday. Interment will be in Sullivan Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church of Nunica would be appreciated.
