Charlotte Leona Mendham's Obituary
Mrs. Charlotte L. Mendham, age 89, passed away early Thursday morning, March 3, 2004 at her residence in Fremont. She was born on May 16, 1915 in Vanderbilt, MI, to Harry and Lettie (Waldon) Hock and has been a resident of Muskegon most of her life. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church of Muskegon. Mrs. Mendham was employed by Johnson Products for 21 years, and in her spare time, loved to crochet. On May 17, 1947, she married Ernest Mendham, and after 40 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on February 23, 1981. She is survived by 3 children, Fredrick (Charline) Kalman of Arizona, Charline Kalman of Newaygo, Nancy (Mike) Whitkanack of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lyle Hock; half-brother, Harry Hock Jr.; step-brother, Carl Price; sister, Elma Nelson; and step-sister, Cora Hock. SERVICES will be 11AM Monday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210
