Charlotte Mae Ribecky's Obituary
Mrs. Charlotte M. Ribecky, age 83, passed away Monday, July 20, 2009 at Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. She was born on June 25, 1926 to Fred and Mae (Jones) Moeller in Greenwood Twp. MI. Prior to her retirement in 1976, she had worked 30 years for GTE as a communication service advisor. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Tatra Hall and First Catholic Ladies Slovak Union. Charlotte enjoyed playing cards with her friends at Tatra Hall and cooking and baking for her family. In her retirement she helped to raise her four grandchildren and loved following their many activities. On May 31, 1947, she married Frank P. Ribecky in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on November 27, 2000. SURVIVORS include 1 daughter, Patricia (Terrance) O’Toole and 1 son, Michael (Nancy) Ribecky both of Muskegon; 4 grandchildren: Brian (Collins) O’Toole of N. Carolina, Matthew (Lia) O’Toole of E. Lansing, Lisa Ribecky and Jason Ribecky both of Muskegon; 1 brother, Fred Moeller and 1 sister, Louise Tickfer. MEMORIAL MASS will be 11AM Monday, July 27, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Thomas J. Brown presiding. VISITATION will be 6-8PM Sunday, July 26, 2009 at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-799-1100 and one hour prior to the service at church. Mrs. Ribecky was preceded in death by her parents; 1 infant son, Frank Ribecky Jr. and 1 brother, Jerry Moeller. MEMORIALS to Harbor Hospice Poppen House or the Muskegon Catholic Education Foundation (MCEF) would be appreciated. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
