Cherlynn "Sherrie" Bordeau's Obituary
Cherlynn “Sherrie” Mae Bordeau, age 76, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on Thursday, December 4, 2025. She was born on July 7, 1949, to Edward and Dorothy (Cady) Haralson. She graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central and lived her whole life in the Muskegon area. On July 19, 1968, she married James Bordeau, and the two of them spent 57 wonderful years building their family together. Sherrie worked in sales in multiple places over the years, including Sears, JC Penney, and Plumb’s. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, but most recently had been attending Harbor of Grace. Sherrie had a giving heart and helped others wherever she could, whether it was crocheting or quilting blankets and Afghans for local churches or volunteering at the rescue mission. She loved spending time outside, especially sitting and looking at the lake from her porch. She was an incredibly warm and loving person and was accepting of everyone she met. She loved dogs, especially her childhood pet, Trixie. Sherrie will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her, including her husband, Jim Bordeau; daughter, Shelly (Kevin) Dumas; two grandchildren: Faith (Rick Robinson) Bordeau and Erin (Chase) Sauve; and three great-grandchildren: Natilee, Paislee, and Wyatt. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, James Bordeau. A Celebration of Life for Sherrie will be announced at a later date.
