Cheryl Lynne Bigelow's Obituary
Mrs. Cheryl Lynne Bigelow, age 86, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at her home in Norton Shores, Michigan following a very short battle with brain cancer. Cheryl was born in Muskegon, Michigan on March 4, 1938 to Henry and Sophie (Bewalda) Kroeze. On February 1, 1957, Cheryl married Ford A. Bigelow Jr. in Muskegon and he preceded her in death in 2017. Cheryl was a long-time member of Forest Park Covenant Church and enjoyed Women’s Bible Studies, the St. Marks Church Quilting Group, and enjoyed meeting with her Cousins Club. She also enjoyed gardening, shopping, reading, knitting, cooking, baking, and decorating her home. Most importantly, Cheryl loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cheryl is survived by four children, Cheri (Bradly) Fett, Shelley (Bruce) Todd, Jeffrey (Kimberley) Bigelow, and Jason Bigelow; eight grandchildren, Brent (Brooke) Pruim, Brittani (Benjamin) Kuempel, Tobin (Amber) Todd, Heather (Christopher) Duchesneau, Brett Bigelow, April (Kevin) Stagg, Halla Todd, and Chanell Todd; great-grandchildren, Kori, Kyler, Kooper, Declan, Griffin, Riley, Harlow, Archie, Maverick, Thaddeus, Jettson, Nora, Kara, Evelyn, Kevin, and Lucy; sisters-in-law, Linda (Denny) Emans and Darlene Kroeze; several nieces and nephews and dear friend, Ruth Wernstrom. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ford; parents, Henry and Sophie Kroeze; and brother, James Kroeze. A CELEBRATION OF HER LIFE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 30, 2024 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
