Cheryl Ann Procter's Obituary
Cheryl Ann Procter, of Grand Haven, ended her battle with heart failure on November 9th, 2024, at Trinity Health Hospital in Muskegon. Born Cheryl Tatti to Andrew and Rosemary (Meteer) Tatti on March 1st, 1963, in Detroit, Michigan the youngest of their four children. Cheri grew up in a loving home on Weideman Street in Clinton Township. Spending her youth swimming in the family pool and pestering the boys of the neighborhood.
Cheryl attended Clintondale High School, graduating in 1981. She would spend the rest of the decade bouncing between Marine City and Metro Detroit, fully experiencing the 1980's and all they had to offer. During the mid-90's, Cheri moved to West Michigan where she would spend the rest of her days and meet the love of her life, Steve Procter, the two would marry in 2005 and welcomed their only child together, Andrea, later the same year. Being a mother to Andrea was the greatest joy of Cheri’s life. Through the peaks and valleys of rearing her little red headed hellion she watched her little girl grow into not only a superlative young woman, but her best friend as well.
Cheri lived her life with a flair as well as an outlandishness that made her truly one of a kind and unforgettable. Her earthly body may be no longer but be rest assured, she is watching over her loved ones, Mountain Dew in one hand and Kool menthol shorts in the other.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Rosemary Tatti and sister, Debra Ingaro. She is survived by her husband, Steve; daughter, Andrea; stepdaughter, Courtney Abramovich; brother, Ronald (Marty)Tatti and sister, Pam Tatti. Lifelong friends, Bill Belcher and son Billy and several of Andrea’s friends, who she considered her own children, including Amaya Apling, Jaylen Flynn, Madison King, Abby Newman, and Jake Pottorff.
A private Celebration of Life will take place. Arrangements entrusted to The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services (620 Washington Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417). To share special memories with the family and sign the online guestbook, please visit www.sytsemafh.com.
