Mrs. Cheryl Kay (Venne) Kenny's Obituary
Mrs. Cheryl Kay (Venne) Kenny, age 70, passed away Monday evening, October 19, 2015, following a brief illness. Cheryl was born January 2, 1945 to Benedict and Reva (Keillor) Schramski Sr. in Milwaukee, WI. She had been a clerk at Target for a dozen years, retiring in 2005. Prior to that Cheryl had worked as a bartender at the Moose Lodge for more than 26 years. On May 10, 1994, she married Fred Anthony Kenny Sr. in Shelbyville KY, and he survives her. Fred and Cheryl attended St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Cheryl enjoyed traveling, especially cruises, and liked to knit and crochet. She was a big fan of the Detroit Lions and Calvin Johnson. Most of all she loved socializing with her many friends and making new ones. She was a former member of the Lakeside Eagles and the Women of the Moose. In addition to her husband, Fred, she is survived by her children, Denise Venne of Waddy, KY, Scott (Chris) Venne of Hesperia, Fred A. (Elaine) Kenny Jr. of South Lyon, MI, and Jeffrey (Annie) Kenny of Muskegon; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Ben (Marilyn) Schramski Jr. of N. Muskegon; a sister, Lynne (Carl) Pitcher of Spring Lake; several nieces and nephews; and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her two sisters, Margaret and Mary; and step son , David. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, October 24, 2015 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W.
