Cheryl D. Welch's Obituary
Mrs. Cheryl Welch, age 70, passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 6, 1948 to Harry and Velma (Snyder) Brandow in Sparta, MI. Cheryl spent the last 30 years with her husband, James Welch and he survives her. Cheryl enjoyed camping with her family, writing poetry, and making delicious candies to share. She was a talented painter and woodworker, creating several of her own jigsaw puzzles. Every year when April Fool’s Day came around friends and family had to be cautious of Cheryl, as she was a well-known prankster. Cheryl was loved by everyone and will be missed by her children, Tammy (Bill) Beggs, Shawn (Julie) Hall, Ron (Gale) Hall and Misty (Jason) Holy; father, Harry Brandow; step-children, Carrie (Dave) Russell and Vincent Welch; several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and half-sister, Judy Lee. She was preceded in death by her mother, Velma; and siblings, Dana Brandow and Linda Felgenhour. Per Cheryl’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. Arrangements by The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442. Please visit the family’s online guestbook at www.sytsemafh.com.
