Chester F. Kroll's Obituary
Mr. Chester F. Kroll, loving husband and father, age 86, died Friday morning, January 26, 2007, at his home. He was born March 29, 1920 in Muskegon to Anthony & Sophie (Kraska) Krol and had been a life resident of the area. Chester was a WW II veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps; and retired as a Supervisor in February of 1979 from C.W.C. Foundry. Chester was an avid sportsman, who enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 59 years, Gloria; 5 children, Barry (Mara) Kroll of Ravenna, Linda (Dan) Vanderlaan of Florida, Tom (Carol) Kroll of Hesperia, Toni (fiancé Curt Bengtson) of Twin Lake and Chet (Ronda) Kroll II of Ravenna; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Walter (Gladys) Krol of North Muskegon, John (Phylis) Krol of Norton Shores, Frank (Jean) Krol of Hastings and Anthony (Rita) Krol of Norton Shores; 1 sister, Virginia “Ginga” Flemen of Muskegon and by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Edward and Stanley Krol and 2 sisters, Stella Sprague and Delores Rademaker. At Chester’s request there will be no visitation or services.
