Christian Ivar "Chris" Josephson's Obituary
Christian Ivar “Chris” Josephson, age 73, passed away on May 18, 2024, in Muskegon, MI. He was born July 28, 1950, and was the first son of Clifford and Elizabeth Ann (Hartke) Josephson of Rock Island, IL. He graduated from Rock Island High School in 1968 and went on to graduate from Lake City College in Florida, earning an associate degree in Golf Course Management.
He spent several years on St. Simons Island, GA, working on golf courses before moving to St. George, UT, to build golf courses. It’s assumed he has gone to work for more Saints. He spent the last several years in Whitehall, MI. Chris had no children and became a devoted uncle and great uncle to all his family and friends. He had a wonderful combination of intellect, humor and kindness that endeared him to all.
Chris is survived by four sisters, DeeDee (Bob) Burg, Nancy Hildebrand, Liz (Mike Becker) Josephson and Amy Josephson; and brothers, Peter Josephson and Willie (Mary) Josephson. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Martha McIntire; and brother, J. Ward Josephson.
