Christina Renee Miller's Obituary
Christina Renee Miller, 47, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023, in Muskegon after bravely and courageously fighting cancer for a year and a half. She was born March 30, 1976, to Derek and Sheila (Bourdo) Poland in Muskegon and was a lifelong resident. She worked at The Cancer and Hematology Center of Muskegon for 15 years. She was very dedicated to her family and friends. She enjoyed reading, playing Bingo, cheering on the Lions and most importantly being a Boy Mom. On October 25, 2008 Christina married Michael E. Miller, and he survives her along with her sons, Cash and Owen; her parents, Lloyd and Sheila Holland, Derek and Victora Poland; in laws, Rose Cooke, Gary and Dawn Miller; siblings, Lance (Amber) Poland; step-siblings, Tracey (Rick) Jensen, Marcus Holland, Kristy (Michael) Romanelli, Christina (Steve) Schijanow, Jerimiah Apel; grandfather, John Baker; in-laws, Kenny Miller, Heather Miller, Brent Cooke; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and her best friend, who was like a sister, Holly (Jerry) Pease. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Knol and his team for the excellent care Christina received. A service to remember and celebrate Christina’s life will be held Friday, November 17, at 2:00 PM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will be Thursday, November 16, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, as well as 1 hour prior to the service on Friday. These will also be at the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Christina may be made to the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
