Mrs. Christine Lynn May's Obituary
Mrs. Christine Lynn May, age 56, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017, at the Poppen Residence. Chris was born October 5, 1961 in Grand Haven to Ralph and Barbara (Rogers) Pfromm. On June 16, 2001 she married Dale E. May on a perfect day in Caro, MI, and he survives her. Chris was a parent mentor with Catholic Charities of West Michigan for the past ten years. Earlier on, she had been a nurse’s aide with Hospice and prior to that, a masterful cook at Mr. B’s Restaurant. She was known for her bread pudding recipe and the joy she brought to the workplace. Chris loved God, her family, helping people, and giving back to the community. She was a member of New Day Fellowship where she belonged to the ladies group. Chris is also survived by her children, Amanda Christie of Norton Shores and Lorne (Margie) Christie of Muskegon; grandchildren; Lillie, Lila, Lorne Jr., Dayna, Savannah, and Alahna; brothers, Scott (Anna) Pfromm of Algonac and Victor Pfromm of Warren; sisters, Catherine Ann Hill of Muskegon, Terra (Jeffrey) Harris of New Haven, MI and Ilona (Harold) Mossop of Fife Lake, MI; and many nieces and nephews. Private family services have been held. Memorial Contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice (Poppen Residence) Foundation.
