Christine I. Loflin's Obituary
Mrs. Christine I. Loflin, age 81 passed away at the Harbor Hospice-Poppen Residence, Wednesday morning February 4, 2009 following a brief illness. She was born in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas on December 14, 1927 to Theodore and Iva (Barnhill) Hager. She moved to Muskegon in 1958 and for many years worked here as a hairdresser. She then went to work at Howmet retiring in 1979. Christine was a member of Lakewood Union Chapel and is survived by: three children, Cristie (Stephen) Anderson of Muskegon, Terry (Gayle) Steinbeck of Montague and John (Becky) Steinbeck of Muskegon; a brother, Theodore (Mozelle) Hager; two sisters, Grace Christenson and Pauline (Jerald) Caffrey; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation. A private family service will be held at a later date.
