Christopher Michael “Chris” Berry. Age 50, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 26, 1973, to Michael and Ruth Ann (Yonker) Berry in Muskegon, MI which has always been home. He graduated from Reeths-Puffer High School class of 1991. Chris was a dedicated employee of Meijer where he worked for 26 years. On June 10, 2000, he married Rosalind Anderson in Muskegon. Together they cherished 23 years full of love, laughter and adventure. Chris was known to be a sports enthusiast. He was a dedicated Michigan, Detroit Lions and Tigers fan. You could usually find Chris watching a game or playing a sports video game. He enjoyed going to concerts and craft breweries. Chris could easily fill a room with laughter and was known for his infamous “dad jokes.” Family time was most important to him. You could always count on him to be there when you needed him. His vivacious and fun-loving spirit will be missed by so many. He is survived by his loving wife, Rosalind; five children, Brittney Berry, Madison Anderson, Cyndel Anderson, Destiney Berry and Noah Berry; pup Oakley; parents; Michael (Ruth Ann) Berry; sister, Alicia (Chris) Mitchell; three brothers, Jason Berry, Eric Berry and Andrew (Natoya) Berry; and many dear friends. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Evanston Avenue Baptist Church, 1188 Evanston Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442, with visitation one-hour prior. A visitation with the family will be held from 5-7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442.
