Christopher J. Bliss Sr.'s Obituary
Christopher James Bliss Sr, age 89, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. He was born in Muskegon on September 29, 1934, to Percy “Buz” and Alyda (Christopher) Bliss. A lifelong Muskegon resident, he graduated from North Muskegon High School. He worked various jobs over the course of his lifetime, but most recently as a charter boat captain. He was an outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish, and snowmobile. He also enjoyed golfing and vacationing in Naples, FL. Christopher Sr. will be lovingly remembered by his five children: Christopher Bliss Jr, Susan (Raymond) Olson, Scott Bliss, Cindy (Doug) Seekman, and Brian Bliss; grandchildren, Jennifer Fletcher and Stephen Glavon, Andrew (Brittney) Olson and Sarah (Josh) Bishop, Brandon bliss and Devin Bliss, Ashley Seekman and Adam Seekman, and Shawn Bliss; five great-grandchildren; brother, Dave Bliss; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both his parents. Per Christopher’s wishes no public services are being held. Arrangements by The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E.
