Christopher J. "Chris" Sonderhouse's Obituary
Christopher J. “Chris” Sonderhouse, age 64, left this Earth after chasing the good life on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. He was born on February 10, 1959, to Frances John and Hazel (Gudelsky) Sonderhouse in Muskegon, MI. He graduated from Muskegon High School class of 1977 and continued his education at Grand Valley State University, earning his bachelor’s degree in business. He lived in Texas and California before making his way back to Michigan. Throughout the years, he dedicated his time working in management before ending his career at AgriMed in Muskegon. He was a Texas man through and through, whether it was delicious BBQ or rooting for the Longhorns football. In his earlier years, he was an avid golfer spending many days out on the greens. He also enjoyed live music, good food and spending time at the beach. Chris was known most of all for knowing no stranger! He had a love and passion for meeting and making new friends. He could easily fill the room with laughter and fun was always found as long as Chris was around. He loved bringing his friends together and making memories that could last a lifetime. His vivacious and loving spirit will genuinely be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his partner, Susan Johnson; two sisters, Cindy Kemp and Catherine Hill; and more lifelong friends than one could even imagine. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5-8:00 PM on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Hagars Hideaway, 3156 Lakeshore Dr., Muskegon, MI 49441. Memorial contributions in his honor can be directed to Be The Match or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Arrangements entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E.
