Christopher J. Hornik's Obituary
Mr. Christopher J. Hornik, age 53, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 1, 2008. He was born May 31, 1955 in Muskegon to John and Geraldine (Lund) Hornik. Mr. Hornik was a graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central High School. He worked for L3 Communications for 32 years and belonged to the U.A.W. Local 113. Mr. Hornik was a member of the Muskegon Recreation Club, was a war history buff, and loved riding his Harley-Davidson Super Glide. He had a big heart, and put his life on hold to be a caregiver for his family in their time of need. On February 14, 1998 he married the former Jacqueline “Jackie” Jourden in Muskegon and she survives him along with 2 step-children, Devon Bramer of Muskegon, Jeff Jourden of Portland, OR; 4 grandchildren, Logan, Chloe, Lauren, and his little beloved Jordyn “Jordy”; 2 brothers, Thom (Mary Anne) Hornik of Norton Shores, Michael “Mickey” (Julie) Hornik of Hamilton, MI; sister, Charlene (Sam III) Belmonte of Fruitport; and many nieces and nephews.
