Christopher James Cook's Obituary
Our one and only beloved son took his closing breath Monday, May 16, 2011 after a long illness. Born December 24, 1972 and appropriately named Christopher, he was the light of our lives. Through these brief years he was a true friend to many, gave selflessly of himself and left us smiling at his special form of wit. We, who continue on, are his Dad, James M. Cook (wife-Pat), Mom, Susan B. Rewa (husband-Jim), Grandmother, Bernice Cook, and his remarkable Albrecht and Cook families. Chris, you outgrew our laps but never our hearts. People do not die for us immediately, but remain bathed in a sort of aura of life which bears no relation to true immortality but through which they continue to occupy our thoughts in the same way as when they were alive. It is as though they were traveling abroad. - Marcel Proust.
