Christopher Scott Smith's Obituary
Mr. Christopher Scott Smith, age 50, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010, at a local hospital. Chris was born April 15, 1960 in Muskegon to Richard and Arlene Smith. He had worked as a welder throughout the years until his illness forced him to retire. Christopher enjoyed hunting and fishing and just being outdoors. He is survived by his children, Tara (Nickee) Powell of Denver, CO, Jennifer (Dion) Walker of Fort Stewart, GA, and Josh Smith of Twin Lake; 4 grandchildren, Jamir, Janee, Makiyah and Kalei; his mother, Arlene Smith; 1 brother, Mark Smith of Muskegon; 3 sisters, Monica (Ed) Wiggers of Twin Lake, Maureen Bleich of Muskegon, and Colleen Smith of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. Chris was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Kevin. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11AM Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church (451 S. Getty St.) with Rev. Fr. Michael Olson as priest celebrant. VISITATION will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210.
