Clara E. (Loper) Harper's Obituary
Mrs. Clara (Loper) Harper, age 96, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011 at her home. She was born on April 6, 1915 to Frank and Grace (Hilton) Dusenbury in Belding, MI. She has been a foster parent since 1968. On May 14, 1966 she married Howard Harper and he preceded her in death on May 28, 1985. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Bonnie (Morrie) Stahl of Oak Park, IL; Dave (Irene) Kandelac of Fremont; Connie (Bob) Collins of Montague and Judith (Ken) Canfield of Whitehall; Clara was also a foster parent to Perry Lumbert of Muskegon; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; son, Gerald Loper; and brother, John Boland. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 30, 2011 at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with Pastor Sherwin Brantsen officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS to the American Heart Association or Harbor Hospice would be appreciated. Burial will take place at Mona View Cemetery.
