Clarence C. Dirkes' Obituary
Clarence C. Dirkes age 92, of Ravenna died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Mercy General Health Partners in Muskegon.
Clarence was born on November 12, 1920 in Moorland Township, Michigan to the late Charles and Josie (Malke) Dirkes. He married Edith “Lorraine†(Torrance ) Dirkes on June 11, 1960 in Sparta, Michigan.
Clarence is survived by his wife of 53 years: Lorraine of Ravenna, 1 Daughter: Josie Kramer of Lafayette, Indiana and 1 Step Son: Jack Empie of Grand Rapids. 6 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. 1 Brother: Bernard Dirkes of Cloverville.
Clarence was preceded in death by parents, Step Son: Benjamin, 2 Brothers: Lawrence Holstrom and A.I. Street. 2 Sisters: Christine and Elizabeth.
Visitation for Clarence C. Dirkes will be conducted on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 10:00am until 12:00pm at Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna. Burial will be at 2:30pm at Fairplains Cemetery in Sparta.
