Clarence Iverson,Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Clarence Iverson, Jr., age 80, died Tuesday morning, February 8, 2005, in Muskegon.
He was born July 22, 1924 in Holland, MI to Clarence & Elizabeth (Koberg) Iverson, Sr.; and had moved to the Muskegon area as a young boy. “Clare” had been employed at Shaw-Walker from 1942-1983 and was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. He loved the out-of-doors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He was married to the former Mary Alice Reynolds and she preceded him in death on November 2, 1998. SURVIVORS include a very special friend, Cleo Unwin of Muskegon; 2 step-sons, Thomas (Donna) Adams of Ludington, MI and Gerald Adams of Eaton Rapids, MI; 2 step-grandchildren, Jill (Robert) Wise and Jason Adams; 1 sister, Betty (Willard) Grevel of Bay City, MI; 4 nieces, Mary Ellen (Timothy) Kern of Bay City, Judith A. Rumpel of Muskegon, Sherri (Jerry) Rhoads of Fruitport, Lexi “Becky” (Brad) Hart of Muskegon; 3 nephews, Gerald A. (Susan) Grevel of Pinconning, MI, Bradley J. Grevel of Linwood, MI, Brian D. (Melissa) Iverson of Farmington Hills, MI; numerous great-nieces and nephews and by 1 sister-in-law, Roberta Iverson of Muskegon. SERVICES will be 11 AM Friday at Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442 (231-726-5210)with the Rev. Dr. Gerald Wahr officiating. VISITATION with Clarence’s family will be 2-4 & 7-9PM this evening (Thursday). Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens with veteran’s services under the auspices of the Muskegon County Council of Veteran’s of Foreign Wars. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
