Mr. Clarence Ernest Slaght's Obituary
Mr. Clarence Ernest Slaght, age 88, passed away Tuesday evening, February 27, 2018. Clarence was born September 19, 1929 in Newberry, MI to Ernest and Adeline (Jordan) Slaght. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and also served as an officer in the Genesee County Sheriff's Department. Clarence loved gardening and gardened for all the children. Clarence had a deep faith, and an ongoing relationship with Jesus. He is survived by his children, Cindy (Jeff) Ferencsik, Pamela Sue (Steven) Hosmer, Karol Boes, Bruce (Sherry) Slaght; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Clarence “Skip”; son-in-law, Rodney Boes; sisters, Shirley and Sharon; and brothers, Rodney, Clifford and Edward. A Graveside Service will be held 1 PM Monday, March 5, 2018 at Egelston Township Cemetery with Rev. Verne Wright officiating. Arrangements by the Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210.
