Clarence O. "Bud" Josephson's Obituary
Mr. Clarence O. “Bud” Josephson, age 90, died Tuesday, August 22, 2006 in Fruitport. He was born on October 2, 1915 to Anton and Mildred (Fors) Josephson, and had resided in the Muskegon area his entire life. Mr. Josephson was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, and member of Forest Park Covenant Church. He owned and operated Port City Cabinet Shop for 20 years prior to his retirement in 1955, and had previously worked as an independent contractor. “Bud” enjoyed fishing, camping, repairing bicycles for children in the neighborhood, and loved playing the harmonica. On October 24, 1936 he married the former Lunette Vanderstelt, and she preceded him in death on January 13, 1987. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Michael (Ruth) Josephson of Muskegon; Jerry (Judy) Josephson of Twin Lake, Luann (Haken) Hendrickson also of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Charles (Amy) Josephson; 1 sister, Geraldine Riley; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Josephson was also preceded in death by sisters, Doris Harmsen, Irene Erickson, Leona Lehan; and brothers, Edward and George Josephson. SERVICES will be 11 AM Friday, August 25, 2006 at Forest Park Covenant Church with Rev. Paul Bengtson officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 10-11 AM. Burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery. Memorial Contribution to N. Ottawa Hospice would be appreciated.
