Clark A. Hoolihan's Obituary
Clark A. “Hooli” Hoolihan, age 81, passed away Wednesday morning, July 23, 2014, at Mercy Hospital following a difficult month. He was born October 21, 1932 in Muskegon to Andrew and Doreen (Ferguson) Hoolihan and has resided in the area most of his life. Clark was a retired meat cutter for Swanson Market and Family Foods. He was a member of VFW Post #446 and of Muskegon Eagles #668. Clark loved to golf and enjoyed fishing, camping, boating and the Detroit Tigers. He was married to the former Joan Westfield and she preceded him in death on December 20, 2001. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Patrick (Karen) Hoolihan of Twin Lake, Timothy Hoolihan of Grand Prairie, TX, Kellie (Mike) Law of Ennis, TX; 3 step-children, Michael (Judy) Versalle of Mattawan, MI Jodi Versalle and Timothy (Cheryl) Versalle, all of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren, Jamie (Jason) Gustin, Ryan Hoolihan, Kristy (Scott) Brown, Justin Kerwin, Jesse Law, Rebecca (Luke) Prohaska, Matthew (Jennifer) Law, Samuel Law, Marissa Versalle and Christopher Versalle; 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Colleen, great-granddaughter, Annie Law; and sister, Elaine Scott. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 29, 2014 with Pastor John Brown officiating at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231-798-1100). VISITATION with Clark’s family will be from 12Noon to 1:00PM prior to the service.
