Claude L. Graff's Obituary
Mr. Claude L. Graff, age 86, died Sunday afternoon, April 15, 2018, in Spring Lake, MI. He was born June 26, 1931 in Gorham, IL to Claude M. and Irene (Bryan) Graff; and has resided in the Muskegon area since 1949. Claude was a veteran of the Korean War and had attended Unity Reformed Church for the past 22 years. He retired in 1991, after 32 years of service, from E.I. DuPont – Montague Works. On February 15, 1952 he married the former Bonnie E. Olsen and she survives him along with 3 children, Cynthia J. (Richard) Lindrup of Montague, Michel (Susan) Graff of San Jose, CA and Steven (Linda) Graff of Lowell, MI; 7 grandchildren, Amy (Robert) Bouws, Christopher (Jamie) Downing, Amy (Roger) Hage, Scott Lindrup, Amanda Graff, Jake Graff and Charlie Graff; 9 great-grandchildren; 4 siblings, June Ashman and Kerry Varner of Murphysboro, IL, Sandra (Dennis) Hobart of St. Louis, MO and Russell (Mary) Graff of Webster Grove, MO; 5 in-laws, Nancy Cejmer, Thomas Olsen, Kenneth (Donna) Olsen, Sharon (John) Swainston and Terrance (Linda) Olsen. Claude was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, JoAnn Ferrell and Priscella Oien; brothers-in-law, Gary Ashman, Raymond Cejmer and sisters-in-law, Joan Durham and Gloria Puckett. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 20, 2018, at Unity Reformed Church (1521 Porter Rd., Norton Shores, MI 49441). VISITATION with Claude’s family will be 6-8:00 PM Thursday at the Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Svcs., 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231-798-1100).
