Claudette DeBruyne's Obituary
Claudette DeBruyne passed away December 31, 2004, in Hudson Florida from congestive heart disease. She was 70 years old. She was born Claudette Sears in Grand Rapids, MI on Cottage Grove St. to James and Christina Sears on October 8, 1934. She was married to James Rushcamp of Muskegon and raised seven children. Her greatest joy in life were her seven children, whom she cherished greatly. Claudette moved to Florida in 1983 and married Jules DeBruyne in 1984. She was a born-again Christian and instilled in her children the compassionate and tender side of life as she rose above adversity within herself, creating an example for others. She is survived by her husband Jules DeBruyne; two sisters, Fran Wilcoxson and Bernice Levendosky; one brother, Harvey Sears; seven children, Martha Ruschkamp, James (Susan Rushcamp), Yvonne (Mark Spytma), Susan (John Sisto), Jacqueline Yacub, Lizabeth (Tom Kine), Matthew (Sharon Rushcamp); grandchildren Ron and Samantha Linstrom, Kelly and Katie Rushcamp, Tonya Boehrig, Terry Schalk, Tracy Schalk, James Sisto, Sadie Rogers, Rob and Eric Nelson, Sara Bergstreser, Jared Rushcamp and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the Sytsema Funeral Chapel at 737 E. Apple Ave. Visitation hours are 11am-1pm Thursday, January 6th. A memorial service for friends and relatives will be held immediately after the visitation at the Sytsema Chapel. Claudette will be laid to rest at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Muskegon in a private ceremony.
