Clifford "Skip" E. Williams' Obituary
Clifford E. Williams, age 80, passed away unexpectedly on November 10, 2014. Skip was born on June 14, 1934 to Roy and Flora (Swainston) Williams. In 1955 he married the former Jean Rogers. Together they enjoyed nearly 60 years of marriage and 4 children together. He worked for Ottawa Steel, GM and Diesel Technologies until his retirement in 2000. Skip enjoyed being with his family, his horses, the Sparta Rodeo, snowmobiling, hunting, and fishing. He was a strong-willed, dedicated and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed. SURVIVORS include his wife, Jean; children Wanda Williams, June (Peter) Hansen and Clifford “Kip” Williams; granddaughter, Nichole (Chuck) Heinz; great-grandchildren, Joseph and Benjamin; aunt, Betty (Jim) Gonyo; nieces, Marla, Evie and Sue; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Gale Williams; his parents; sister, Donna Fisher; nephew, Robbie Fisher. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014, at 2 pm at The Lee Chapel 6291 S Harvey St 231-798-1100. VISITATION will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 and also one hour prior to the start of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice in Skip’s name.
