Clifford Phillip Stebelton, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Clifford Stebelton, Jr. age 66, passed away Tuesday, November 08, 2011 at his home. He was born July 17, 1945 in Muskegon to Clifford and Thelma (Curtis) Stebelton. Cliff was a 1963 graduate of Muskegon High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He received his associate degree from Muskeon Community College and furthered his education at Grand Valley College. He worked in the steel industry until his retirement from Harbor Steel as General Manager. He played golf with a senior traveling league, coached Beach League Softball and loved going to the casino. He was a member of the Fruitport Eagles. He married the former Karen L. Vledder in Muskegon on October 28, 1967. She survives him along with their children, Julie (Mark) Hronek, Jay Stebelton and Deanne Stebelton all of Fruitport; 2 grandchildren, Luke and Blake Hronek; 1 sister, Lillian Keyes of Fruitport; and sister-in-law, Shirley (Jim) Chambers. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Gerry (Leo) Smith, Shirley (Lincoln) Lamphere and Ralph Keyes. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100. Visitation will be Friday 4 – 7 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
