Clyde V. Bluhm's Obituary
Clyde V. Bluhm, age 81, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019 surrounded by family. He was born on September 3, 1938 to Clifford and Vera (Meloche) Bluhm in Muskegon, MI and his lived here his whole life. He was a proud veteran, serving his country in the US Navy for 2 years. He dedicated 27 years to Kaydon Corp where he worked as a metallurgist. On November 8, 1958 he married the love of his life, the former Elizabeth “Betty” Knight in Muskegon, MI at Sacred Heart Church. Together they cherished 60 years of marriage full of love and laughter. Clyde was known to be a spontaneous man who enjoyed random road trips with his friends searching for the best restaurants. He was an outdoorsman who liked visiting the UP and going hunting and fishing. Clyde and Betty also made many trips to Las Vegas, where he usually tested his luck at the casinos and won. Above all things, he loved his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his story telling and his jokester sense of humor. He was a vivacious and tender-loving soul who will be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Bluhm; 3 children, Julie (Stephone) Mihela, Brenda (Gary) Campbell and Janelle (Ronnie) Dunmore; 5 grandchildren, Tim Campbell, Kayleigh (Danny) Kuptz, Carly Wiersma, Natalie Wiersma and Molly (Tim) Olsen; great-grandchild, Benjamin Kuptz; 2 sisters, Ellen Daugherty and Sally Moeller; 3 brothers, Harold Bluhm, William Bluhm and Larry Bluhm. He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Rita Slaton and June LeMieux; and brother, Tom Bluhm. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00PM on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Cremation & Funeral Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation with the family will be held two-hours prior at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Clyde’s honor can be direct to the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
