Mr. Clyde F. Crandall's Obituary
Mr. Clyde F. Crandall, 64, passed away early Friday, November 21, 2014. Born July 22, 1950 in Muskegon to Charles L. and Helen (Vondrasek) Crandall, he had recently moved back to Whitehall after living and working for 35 years in Asheville, NC. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Western Michigan University, and worked as an Engineer for Volvo Heavy Equipment before retiring. HIS SURVIVORS include his mother, Helen Crandall; two daughters, Christine (Jeff Springer) Crandall and Kimberly Hill; two granddaughters, Kate Crandall and Sydney Hill; his sister, Pat (Ron) Galy; a very special friend, Sue Cornfield; two nieces, Deborah (Kevin) Galy-Veldman and Lisa (Thomas) Byers; and several close, longtime friends. He was preceded in death by his father, earlier this year. Clyde was a world traveler who was a car and engine enthusiast. He liked to ride his Harley, and was very witty, generous, and organized. VISITATION with Clyde’s family will begin 12 Noon Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, 231-798-1100, followed by a CELEBRATION OF HIS LIFE at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor John Brown officiating.
