Cody Jo Brege's Obituary
Cody Jo Brege, age 19, of Spring Lake passed away Saturday, May 19, 2007, at his home. He was born January 4, 1988, to Gerald and Ginger (Meyers) Brege in Grand Haven.
Cody was a lifelong resident of the Tri-Cities area and was a 2006 graduate of Spring Lake High School. He was formerly employed by Fricano’s Pizza in Grand Haven and had recently completed his first year of college at Grand Valley State University in Allendale. A high school honor student, Cody was an avid reader who displayed a unique love for learning and history. He also played tennis and participated in the marching band during high school. He loved his friends, and he enjoyed spending time working on cars and playing hockey.
Cody is survived by his parents, Gerald and Ginger Brege of Spring Lake; his grandparents, Phillip and Dottie Meyers of Spring Lake; three brothers: Eric Knoll of Georgia, Wyatt Brege of Grand Rapids, and Montana Brege, at home; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents.
The service for Cody will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2007, at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church with Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating. Friends may meet the family 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Spring Lake. Interment will be in Spring Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Cody’s name may be made to the Spring Lake High School Scholarship Fund or to the Harbor Humane Society.
