Mrs. Colleen Chairmaine Musk's Obituary
Mrs. Colleen Charmaine Musk, age 86, passed away Saturday June 11, 2016 at her home. Colleen was born March 29, 1930 in Muskegon to Edward and Henrietta (Zylman) Swiftney. She was brought up by her mother and stepfather, Benjamin Looyengoed. On September 30, 1950 she married Richard E. “Dick” Musk and he preceded her in death on February 12, 2014. She had worked at Johnson Products for 10 years prior to her retirement. Colleen enjoyed camping and traveling to California for visits with her sister. She enjoyed time spent with family, telling stories about the past, and her childhood. Colleen is survived by her children, Cheryl Gundy and Craig (Monica) Musk, all of Muskegon; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special companion, Brudie; and special cousin, Dorothy Jordan. In addition to Dick, her husband of 63 years, Colleen was preceded in death by her sons, Steven Wayne Musk, Edward John Musk, and Richard “Rick” Musk, Jr; and sister, Cecilia. THE FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 1 PM Thursday, June 16, 2016 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave. 726-5210 with Rev. Gerald Hagans officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service (12 Noon 1PM). Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
