Concetta Franca "Tina' Lyon's Obituary
Concetta Franca “Tina” Lyon, age 91, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024, at home. She was born November 16, 1932, in Naples, Italy to Carlo and Ieda (Riccudi) DiMaio. Tina married Robert Leon Lyon on June 27, 1954, in Italy.
Tina was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and made everyone who walked through her door feel welcome, like part of the family. She loved spending time with her family, which was very important to her. She also enjoyed music and dancing, winning numerous dance competitions.
She is lovingly remembered by her three children: Debby (Mark) Sawdy, Michael (Chelsea) Lyon and Ann Williams; seven grandchildren: Gabrielle, Jacob, Tina, Mark, Alex, Izabella and Nicolas; five great-grandchildren: Charlie, Sullivan, Paige, Brooklyn, and Anthony; her brother, Attilio DiMaio; and her sister, Maria Akins. Tina was preceded in death by her husband Robert Leon Lyon on September 18, 2020, and son, Anthony “Tony” Lyon on July 9, 2023, four sisters, Rita Dicarcia, Stella Calfee, Eva Avino, and Anna Sheild, and her brother, Roberto DiMaio.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions to The Family are appreciated.
