Connie Diane Genter's Obituary
Connie Diane Genter, age 88, passed away on July 27, 2023, at Sanctuary at McCauley. She was born on April 6, 1935, to Henry and Margarette (Ferenz) Sherman in Fremont, MI. Connie worked for many years as a collection's agent for Paramount Collections. She was a member and deacon emeritus of First Christian Church, church financial secretary, member of the choir, and Christian Womens' Fellowship. Connie enjoyed card making, and camping with Joe when they were younger. She married, Joel Genter on September 10, 1960, and he preceded her in death on May 5, 1996. SURVIVORS include two sisters, Janice Sherman and Barbara Walker; nieces, Diana Hallman, Rose Hale, Lisa Walker, Wanda Lind and Gloria VanderMolen; and nephew, Wade Walker. A MEMORIAL SERVICE is being planned for August 12, 2023, at 1:00 PM at First Christian Church (2755 Holton Rd.) with Pastor Robert Grams officiating.
