Connie J. Krepps' Obituary
Connie Joyce Krepps, age 72, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at her home in Ravenna, MI, on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Connie was born in Muskegon, MI, on September 18, 1952, to Romaine and Emily (Tackx) DeCamp. When she was young she attended St. Catherines school and went on to graduate from Ravenna High School. On September 19, 1970, she married Michael Krepps, and the two of them spent 54 wonderful years building a family together. Connie and Michael owned and operated Village Hardware and Auto Supply, and after 34 years Connie retired in 2018. She was also a member of the Ravenna Fire Women’s Auxiliary for many years.
Connie loved playing Bingo, taking trips to the casino, and playing Poker in the pole barn with friends and family. She was an excellent gardener and canner, and she enjoyed occasional trips up north, especially to the Upper Peninsula, Traverse City, and Mackinaw Island. More than anything she loved spending time with her family, especially attending her grandchildren’s many sporting events over the years.
Connie will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Mike Krepps; two children: Machelle (Tim) Haan and Eric (Kristi) Krepps; three grandchildren: Chelsea (Kent Kerestury) Haan, Brooke Karchinski, and Ryley Krepps; four great-grandchildren: Karter and Karson Kerestury and Brinley and Jack Karchinski; two brothers: Robert (Tini Teasley) DeCamp and Gary DeCamp; a beloved Boston Terrier, Max; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Cathy Miller and Karen Scharlow.
Per Connie’s wishes no public services are being held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Ravenna Township Fire Department or to the Harbor Hospice Foundation. Arrangements by The Ravenna Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 3570 Thomas St, Ravenna, MI, 49451. Please sign the family’s online guestbook and share memories at https://sytsemafh.com
