Connie Lee McManus' Obituary
Connie Lee McManus, age 77, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020. She was born May 1, 1943 in Muskegon to Camilo “Tom” and Mildred (Ujlaky) Gomez. On April 6, 1963, she married John Edgar McManus in Muskegon. They shared 45 precious years together, raising a family of 8 children, before he preceded her in death on October 13, 2008. Connie was fun-loving, selfless, and dedicated to her family. She will be remembered for her incredible strength, positivity, and patience. Her greatest joy was bringing her family together with music, good food and laughter. Connie is SURVIVED by 8 children: Carmen (Jeff) Wiedemann of Grand Haven, Darryl McManus of Whitehall, John Jr. (Laurie) McManus of Grand Haven, Kevin (Tracey) McManus, Duane (Shannon) McManus both of North Muskegon, Greg (Stacey) McManus, Alana (Phil) Nevins both of Spring Lake, and Ryan McManus of Whitehall; 20 grandchildren: Kyle, Tyler, and Alyssa Wiedemann; Eric, Evan, and Ethan McManus; Kelsie, Marissa, and Joshua McManus; Brennen, Troy, and Sean McManus; Allison, Connor, and Braden McManus; Landry and Lane McManus; Byron, Kasen, and Colbie Nevins; 2 great-grandchildren: Audrina and Avery; brother: Dan (Olga) Gomez; 2 sisters: Marilyn (Don) Collis and Yasi Ujlaky, and many other special family members. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Karen Simington. A SERVICE for Connie will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Forest Park Covenant Church (3815 Henry Street, Norton Shores).
