Mrs. Constance "Connie" Thomas' Obituary
Mrs. Constance J. “Connie” Thomas, 77, passed away Monday afternoon, February 11, 2013. Born April 29, 1935 to Martin and Catherine (Mondala) Winicki, she was a lifelong resident of Muskegon. She married Lionel R. “Link” Thomas September 27, 1958, and he died February 16, 1990. Connie was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, and retired from Meijer’s. She loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports and loved watching Notre Dame football. Her survivors include her children: Ron (Sallie) Thomas of Muskegon, Brad (Elizabeth) Thomas of Rockford, Jeff Thomas and Lori Thomas both of Muskegon, Don Thomas of Ludington, and Marie Thomas of Sioux City, IA; five grandchildren: Ben, Christine, Kimberly, Justine and Ashley; and a great-grandson, Liam Thomas. Also surviving are brothers Edward (Joann), Robert (MaryAnn), Kenneth and Jerry (Sue) Winicki, a sister Carol (Joe) Firlit, and her best friend Barb Firestone (Ritsema). She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers: Thaddeus, Bernard, and David Winicki; and sisters: Virginia Chiambretti, Evelyn Taylor, Margie Dennis and Delores Winicki. The Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Thomas will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, February 15, 2013 at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Antony Britto as Celebrant. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M.
