Mrs. Cora I. Hendrick's Obituary
Mrs. Cora Irene Hendrick age 93, passed away Monday, January 2, 2023, in Muskegon. She was born April 14, 1929, to William and Wilhaemena (Byle) VanDop in Dalton Township. Cora had worked as a dietician at Lakeshore Hospital in Shelby for several years, was a member of the Shelby Congregational United Church of Christ and also attended Unity Reformed Church in Muskegon. She volunteered for Harbor Hospice and was involved with the reading program at Whitehall schools. On June 29, 1963, Cora married George A. Hendrick and he preceded her in death on December 27, 2006. Survivors include her children Michael (Judy) Crouch, Sheryl (Dennis) Gunst, David (Ruth) Crouch, Curtis (Cheryl) Crouch, Cameron (Chris) Hendrick, Daniel (Jan) Hendrick; children by marriage to George, Archie (Carol) Hendrick, Bonnie (Dan Achterhoff) Hendrick; 26 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; and brother William (Yvonne) VanDop. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Abraham, Cornelius, Adrian, Art, Hank, John and Jack, sisters Tena and Jenny, and granddaughter Madelyn Hendrick. A family graveside service will be held in the Spring at Norton Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Hendrick may be made to the Harbor Hospice Foundation or the charity of your choice.
