Mrs. Coral A. "Arlene" Cunningham's Obituary
Mrs. Coral A. “Arlene” Cunningham, age 80, passed away June 9, 2012. She was born on January 29, 1932 to William and Coral (Weldon) Passage and was a lifelong resident of Muskegon. On June 30, 1950, Arlene married Newton Cunningham and he preceded her in death on April 18, 2001. Arlene was an Oakridge Public Schools bus driver for nearly 30 years and was a long time member of Wolf Lake United Methodist Church. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 7729. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, and playing on the church softball team. She also loved her family and her dog “Dolly”. Her best friend and sister, Pat, was by her side always. Arlene was friendly and liked everybody. She always worked hard and liked to laugh and joke. Arlene is survived by her daughters, Lynn (Tom) Kurtz, Christine (Mark) Fazakerley, Laura (Gerald) David, Connie (Chuck) Ondrejka; grandchildren, Mardi (David) Brott, Megan (Christopher) Hanks, Kendal Fazakerley (Rob Gustafson), Nikki (Fred) Stewart, Mitchell Frees, Krista (Adam) Ritchard, Chaz Ondrejka, Dawn (Brad) Zieger, Adam David, Kevin David; great-grandchildren, Marek, Sander, Sheldon, and Manon Brott, Kimball, Milla, and Fynnlay Hanks, Tyler, Kolbe, and Kyla Stewart, Clayton Frees, Jenna and Kahri Potts, Gracie and Aliza Ritchard, Phoebe Zieger; sister, Pat Wright; brothers-in-law, Russell Rutz, Jack Cunningham, Ron “Gramps” Cunningham; sister-in-law, Susie Passage; many much-loved nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; many friends who have visited including special friends, Bea Smith, Nancy Bowen, and Dede Cook. Along with her husband, Arlene was preceded in death by her infant son, Johnny Newton Cunningham; her parents; brothers, Paul, Russ, Louis and Max Passage; sisters, Helen Nelson, Katie Brown and Shirley Rutz. Rev. Carl Black will officiate. VISITATION will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Lee Chapel. A private family interment will be at Egelston Twp. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson Family Cancer Center, Wolf Lake United Methodist Church or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
