Sis was a dear friend to my Mom, Sara Lou Dalum who passed away in 1996. They used to walk together every morning and through their daily walks a close friendship grew. I got to know Sis through my Mom and I loved her. We used to corespond through letters after my Mom died and I moved to Indiana. I used to love to visit her when I would come home to Muskegon. She would have me over and we had the nicest visits. I remember one time eatting vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup on it with her at her little kitchen table. She brought great comfort to me after my Mom died. I lost touch with Sis after she moved from her home on Smith Street and it broke my heart. I tried to call her many times. I know that "Sis" was adored by many. She made everyone feel special and was a great listener. I am so glad to have gotten to know her and I will fondly remember her always.
