Cornelius J. DeHaan's Obituary
Mr. Cornelius DeHaan, age 88, passed away early Tuesday morning, December 22, 2009 in Muskegon. He was born August 7, 1921 to Cornelius and Henrietta (Regelin) DeHaan in Grand Haven, and lived in Muskegon for the past 58 years. Mr. DeHaan was a WWII U. S. Army veteran, and had been the owner of DeHaan’s Old Dutch service station in Muskegon. He also was a truck driver for several different area businesses. On November 29, 1947 he married Edith A. VanHall, and she survives him along with 1 son, Roger (Rae) DeHaan of Muskegon; 1 daughter, Teresa Durham of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Laverne and Lawanda. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Allan DeHaan. There will be no services or visitation.
