Corrine M. Baker's Obituary
Corrine M. Baker, age 87, passed away Saturday morning, February 24, 2018. She was born May 10, 1930 in Caspian, MI to Clayton and Josephine (Oru) Montambo. On September 20, 1952 she married Edward E. Baker, Sr. in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on September 21, 2010. Corrine worked for many years in the food service department for the Mona Shores Public School system before retiring. SURVIVORS include 2 children: Edward E. (Laura) Baker, Jr. of Livonia, MI and Tami J. Barton of Norton Shores; 5 grandchildren: Nicholas Baker, Adam (Jacqui) Baker, Timothy (Brittany) Baker, Courtney Barton, and Katelyn Barton; 4 great-grandchildren: Owen, Josie, Sophia, and Scarlett; 3 brothers: Thomas (Grace) Montambo, Jerry (Ila) Cox, and Frank (Pam) Cox all of Muskegon; sister, Sally Cox of Muskegon; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by infant daughters: Mary Ann and Susan Marie; parents; and brother, Maurice “Pete” Cox. SERVICES for Corrine will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, March 1, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, with the Rev. Fr. Phil Sliwinski officiating. Burial will take place in Norton Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the funeral home. MEMORIALS to Great Lakes Hospice will be appreciated.
