Craig A. Clawson (Lillmars)'s Obituary
Craig Allen (Lillmars) Clawson, age 70, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 in Galesburg, MI. He was born September 16, 1947 in Muskegon to Albert and Audrey (LeMieux-Lillmars) Clawson. Craig served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Following his return from the Vietnam War, he purchased the Parkside Gulf gas station which he ran from 1968-1974. Craig had worked for S.D. Warren for 5 years. As a carpenter he built 15 homes. He owned Clawson Recycling for 15 years and CC Express Trucking Company for over 15 years. He owned and boarded many horses over the years, loved his dogs, and also loved to go fishing. Craig enjoyed dirt track and street car racing, and took great pride in racing his 1968 Camaro Z28. SURVIVORS include his son, Blaine Clawson of Norton Shores; brother, Gale Clawson of Texas; and sister, Allyson Clawson of Nunica. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Brian Lillmars; and sister, Sharon Lillmars. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE along with full Military Honors will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Mary’s Cemetery. MEMORIALS to West Michigan Veterans, Inc. (165 E.
